Welcome to the the BHAM BASS CLUB Livewell... I thought the Presidential Update was too narcissistic, especially since I'm only here by default (that's another story). Now, I give you "the Livewell." This blog may last 20 years or 20 minutes, however we'll have fun through the process. Also, despite my college degree, my assault on the queen's english will be an abomination. Btw, Economics if you have to ask. Congrats to our CFO and "unofficial" voice of reason, Bruce Sargent, for taking charge on Lay lake this past weekend. With a limit of 5 swimmers on a tough day, he brought in 18.51 glorious pounds. This was more than 6 lbs over A-Bear's 2nd place. A solo Josh Dees netted a 5 lber to claim big bass. Steven White continues his pace as a very consistent performer in the no-boater division by winning the back-of-the-boat spot with a 3 fish limit of 8.68. See full results. Angler of the year standings after saturday's event are: Boaters - Bruce (205 pts), Josh (199pts) and Sonny (195pts) No-Boaters- Steven (204 pts), Shawn (193pts) and Me & Will (192pts) Overall, Lay was really tough on the field but it was a beautiful day on the water. Most importantly, the Bham Bass Club got some valuable time on the water prior to the upcoming Alabama B.A.S.S. Nation tournament on our home waters of Lay on 5/14. Members please check the "members only" facebook page for additional information and updates. Thanks to all. Randy

President, Birmingham Bass Club We cranked out a fun Wildcat tourney Saturday on Lay. The first few hours were a little damp but all teams came in with a limit of 5. The Jones and Forehand team squeaked out the win (17.33) over Nolan & Kinder (17.27). However, Mr. John Nolan found a big girl that wanted to come out and play, with a 8.09 largemouth.
Jordan 3/12 Tournament #1 is in the books. By most accounts this was a fantastic tournament, and the new format (following the nation w/ co-angler 3 fish limits and separate pots) seemed to work well on the whole. Bruce Sargent picked up some buckets(mouths) on Jordan to grab the top boater spot with 16.26 lbs. Eric Howles dialed into the big spots with an impressive 3-fish limit of 12.14 lbs, including a big spot of the year candidate at 4.33. Some pics are below! A full brake down of points and standings can be found on the schedule and results page. Other notes. Lay wildcat this Saturday (Talk to Bruce) and Next Meeting is on 3/24 at Saw's juke joint. Best - RK What an outstanding dual event a Lay lake this past weekend (Tournament of Champions and Holiday Open Wildcat). We saw a lot of new faces looking to join the BBC and we were grateful for their participation. Bruce Sargent came home with the "W" while bringing in 10.96lbs, Nipping at his heals was John Nolan with 10.76lbs. However, John was also able to wrangle big bass for the contest. High-five to the Wildcat Draw Team of Philip Jones and William McRee for bringing in over 19lbs of spots and heads to reign in a victory. See everyone tomorrow at the meeting at Logan's Roadhouse in Irondale (12/17). Announcing the 2015 Anglers of the Year:
