Miller's Ferry/Smith Lake UPDATE

Stop #2 for the BASS Nation and the Club have come and gone, so it's time to review the action!

The Club had the most top 20 finishes of any Club at Miller's Ferry from the front of the boat, with a top 5 from the one and only Jeff Corley and another top 10 from Scott Holmes. Josh Dees (12th) and Matthew Hebert (16th) delivered great performances as well! Not to be outdone by the Boaters, Co-Angler Charles Rosato captured a 7th place finish while Jacob George (12th) and Alex Roberts (17th) also showed up strong. Well done fellas!

On the Club side of things, we had another day of strong participation as 12 boats converged on a freezing cold Smith Lake Dam Launch on Sunday morning! The day warmed up quickly and the fish were biting fairly well for most. We heard a lot of catches coming from shaky heads, swimbaits, buzzbaits, and spinnerbaits. Typical of this time of year, some fished as shallow as they could get, some searched the depths. Ultimately, the winner on the boater side was Joey Aderhold with a nice 13.55lb bag anchored by a 4.45 Largemouth. Lee Byrd came in 2nd with 8.60, and Bruce Sargent was close behind in 3rd with 8.20. On the Co-Angler side, the winner was Alex Roberts for a second tournament in a row by .1 of a pound. Wallace Williams and John Nolan tied for 2nd with 6 lbs even, and Wallace brought in a beautiful 2.95lb Spot.
