Lake Jordan Update...plus some

2/27/2023

Comments

Aight folks! We are officially underway in the 2023 season, and it just feels good. First and foremost, thank you for your quick communication on Facebook. This is how we plan to continue to conduct the derby participation so please keep it up.

Alabama Bass Nation on Martin - We had 10 boats, and 3 Co's participating in this event, with Alex Roberts cutting a check coming in at 14th place. BBC continues to represent well.

Speaking of Alex Roberts, how about that 10th place finish on Lake G this past Saturday with 17lb bag of the back of the boat! Keep up the great work hoss!

ABT South on Martin - Quick turn around and right back at Martin some of you go. How about an epic 3rd place finish on the ABT south trail in his first debut, (que the intro music), Jacob G-Money George! Jacob, and Sweeny took 3rd place with 12.83, cashing fat checks, and breaking pencil necks. We see you lil bro.

Big shoutout to the Lake Martin veteran Joe Aderhold representing as well with a 14th place finish. Great job guys.

Alright alright, let’s get down to it shall we? Lake Jordan was primed and ready to show out. With nearly a week of highs in the upper 70's and lows in the 60's it was a promising sign that the fish were moving up shallow. The anticipation and excitement were in the air. The only problem is we started the morning off, loading on one lane of the boat ramp. Someone had sunk his truck and trailer at the ramp. Which is just a humble reminder it can happen to anyone folks. Never get complacent at the ramp. Lee Byrd took that top spot swimming a jig up shallow, followed by Charles Nowling, and Matthew Hebert. Lincoln Stewart made his long-awaited debut on the front of the boat with a 5 bass limit. It was great to see Chris Stockard in the playing field and Thad Spates out there doing his thing. On the co-angler side Charles Rosato separated himself with a fat 6.85lb bag. Shan Price and Wallace Williams finished 2nd and 3rd neck and neck with 5.55 lb's, and 5.15 lb's

Stewart Vitollo fished this event as a prospect, and when Lee Byrd gives you, his blessing then consider yourself a part of the crew. A vote was made, and Stewart is now a Birmingham Bass Club member. Welcome aboard bud.

Full results are up on the Schedule Page.

Our next Meeting will be 3/16 - Hickory Tavern 6PM-8PM, and Cooter’s Pond on 3/18!
