Wheeler Lake recap

The final tournament of the Alabama BASS nation regular season wrapped up at Wheeler lake on June 14th. The season long dominance of Birmingham Bass Club co-anglers continued with 3 of our guys finishing in the top 10. Martez McDuffie led the way with 9.60lbs which was good for 2nd place overall. Wallace Williams and Charles Rosato followed him in 4th and 6th place respectively. Wallace and Charles are now 1st and 2nd in the co-angler AOY standings for the nation and the club. Incredible year by both of them so far.

On the boater side, Scott Holmes led the way with 14.54lbs and a 10th place finish. Lee Byrd and Charles Nowling followed him in 20th and 22nd place respectively. Going into the championship on Eufaula this fall we will have 4 boaters and 5 co-anglers in the top 20 of the Nation AOY standings. Definitely something to be proud of as a club!

Next tournament is not until our club derby Sept. 6th on Logan Martin. Hope everyone has a great and safe summer!
