Old Men vs. Young Guns

We fished our annual Old Men vs. Young Guns tournament last weekend on Lake Guntersville and it was one for the books! The Old Men started off strong on Day 1 with a 11 pound lead over the young guys. Lee Byrd and Wallace Williams led the way with a 17.64 bag. Scott Holmes and David Cothran followed that closely with 17.41 pounds. On the young guns side, Matthew Hebert and Will Storey had big bag of the tournament with 17.69 pounds and Jack Sargent had big bass of the tournament with a 5.82 kicker. 

Day 2 was tougher on most teams but the young guns were able to put together 3 solid limits between 14-15 pounds to complete the comeback. Charles Nowling and Hunter Russell led the way on day 2 with 15.75 pounds, while Will Storey caught the day 2 big bass with a 4.32 pound largemouth. In the end the Young Guns won with a total weight of 101.24 pounds vs. 93.28 pounds from the old men.
