Guntersville & Logan Martin recap

3/8/2026

The first two tournaments of 2026 are in the books! We started off the season at legendary Lake Guntersville for the first Alabama B.A.S.S. Nation tournament of the year. The lake was a little stingy after the Toyota series tournament that week but as always still produced some good weights. Lee Byrd led the way on the boater side with a solid 17.50 which was good for 13th overall. Anthony Mills followed that up with 14.54 and a 22nd place finish. On the co-angler side Lee Fowler weighed in 8.89 for a 12th place finish and Wallace Williams came in at 20th with 6.71.

After Guntersville, we had our first club derby of the year on Logan Martin. After a week of super warm weather the fish were up shallow and biting. Lee Byrd got on the right pattern and blew away the field with a 16.09 pound bag anchored by a 3.85 largemouth. Anthony Mills finished up in second again with 10.89. Those two are off to a great start in the AOY race. Charles Rosato brought 8.02 to the scales to take the co-angler crown, with Jack Sargent finishing second with 7.09 and a 3.54 big spot. I also want to give a big shoutout to Lee Byrd for letting use his neighborhood ramp and for hosting us at Docks bar and grill after the tournament. The food and fellowship was great and what this club is all about.

Next tournament will be 3/21 at Lake Eufaula for the second Alabama B.A.S.S. Nation tournament of the year and then we will follow that up on 4/4 at Lake Jordan for a club only derby. See everyone at Eufaula!
